Symbol of the Staff of St. Josaphat

7/9/18 | Resources, St. Josaphat Parish

This black stone is a Meteorite. The design engraved into by a diamond need is the double-serpented staff of St. Josaphat, patron of this parish. The serpented staff is an ancient and biblical symbol of healing. Meteorite was embedded in a walnut cedar tree from along Clear Creek north of Loup City.
May all who enter this Reconciliation Chapel be healed through the celebration of this Sacrament and the intercession of St. Josaphat, bishop and martyr.
